Wound and Ostomy Care at Home
If you need wound or ostomy care, the VNA Home Health offers specialty enterostomal therapy (ET) services within your home. Our nurses provide wound evaluation and treatment recommendations and work closely with the entire homecare team to coordinate your ET care. We also work closely with you, your physician and your regular caregivers to offer appropriate care and instructional guidance.
VNA Home Health’s wound care services include Vacuum Assisted Closure (VAC), dressing changes and in-home instruction and guidance for wounds of the following nature:
- Burns
- Pressure ulcers (also known as bedsores or decubitus ulcers)
- Diabetic ulcers
- Surgical wounds
- Fistulas
- Wounds at gastrostomy tube sites
- Negative pressure wound therapy
The overarching goal of VNA’s ET therapy services is not only to treat wounds and manage your pain, but also to advance your ability to care for your wounds and watch for signs of infections or other complications.
All of VNA’s ET and wound care specialists adhere to the rigorous standards of practice established by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB).
